About Me
My experience:
I’ve been working and volunteering in the sport industry for nearly 10 years. I bring a wealth of expertise and knowledge to help organizations of all sizes thrive. My work with national (Executive Director, Quadball Canada) and provincial sporting organizations (BC Soccer, Baseball Alberta) as well as small local sport clubs (Vanguard Quadball, Edmonton Quadball Club, Victoria Ultimate), has honed my skills in governance, DEI initiatives, strategic and operational planning, committee support, change management, event planning, and marketing. Whether it's developing bylaws and policies, crafting DEI action plans, or executing large-scale events, I am committed to delivering results that align with your organization's goals and values. Let me help you navigate the complexities of the sport industry and achieve sustainable success.
My story:
From a very young age, sports have been a huge part of my life. From soccer to basketball to volleyball to swimming to martial arts, I did as many sports as I could. It helped me build a sense of community. After volunteer work with the sport that truly takes my passion, Quadball (the sport formerly known as quidditch), I discovered that sports management was a career. Why don’t they tell you all the possibilities when you’re 17? I had just been running national tournaments, coaching and managing organizations as a passion project while I taught preschool.
I very quickly fell in love with helping organizations increase the quality of sport for the wider community. After moving out of the Vancouver area, and away from my job with BC Soccer, I wasn’t sure what the next step was. My partner always says “Do what you are best at relative to other people” and I want to enjoy what I’m doing. So, that’s what landed me here, developing working relationships with sporting organizations to help better sport for youth and adults across the province.
